Gardai are investigating after suspected human remains were found in a burnt out car in Tallaght.
Dublin Fire Brigade and gardai rushed to the scene of the shocking incident in Watergate in the early hours of this morning. There, it is understood officers found a car on fire in the driveway of a house.
Members of the Fire Brigade put out the fire and, subsequently, suspected human remains were found inside. It is suspected to be the remains of a man.
It is understood that gardai suspect this may be a personal tragedy incident, but officers are keeping an open mind at this stage. Shocked locals have told how they heard an “explosion” at around 1:30am in the morning.
