Hollyoaks‘ Darren Osborne is set to have a last-minute change of heart after plotting his best friend Tony Hutchinson’s death. But with the wheels of his revenge plan already in motion, will it be too late to call things off?

Last week’s episodes saw Darren continuing to struggle with the recent revelation that Tony was the biological father of his daughter Morgan. Heartbroken about the betrayal, Darren began drinking and gambling, while pushing his loved ones away.

In order to keep Tony out of Morgan’s life, Darren enlisted the help of Warren Fox to carry out a hit – for a steep price. Though Darren lost all his money at a poker game, he managed secure the cash by blackmailing James Nightingale, who he discovered was actually alive.

With the necessary funds in his possession, Darren then called Warren to confirm the plan, insisting that he wanted Tony dead on his wedding day.

Next week’s episodes, however, will see Darren begin to reconsider his rash decision as he realises the severity of his actions.

As Tony and Diane’s big day arrives, Nancy is relieved to see Darren stepping into his role as the Best Man. However, she’s less than impressed when he admits that he was blackout drunk the night before and can’t remember what he did.

Nancy gives her husband a stern warning that they need to pull together in front of the rest of the village. Unbeknownst to her, utter havoc could be on the horizon as Darren scrambles to put the brakes on his plan.
