Well, it took two decades, but reality TV feud legends Kristin Cavallari and Lauren Conrad are officially friends. The former high school rivals famously had a contentious relationship on MTV’s Laguna Beach and The Hills, but that’s all in the past now. At least, according to Kristin, who announced this historic peace deal on her podcast.
“I just got back from Laguna, filmed the Laguna Beach reunion which was awesome,” she said on Tuesday’s Lets Be Honest podcast. Turning to her co-host for the episode, Jason Anderson, she continued, “I just feel like the world is healing. Like, you’re back on the pod, Lauren and I are friends.”
This isn’t the first time LC and Kristin have put their feud to rest. They previously reunited in 2022, when Lauren appeared on Kristin and Stephen Colletti’s Back to the Beach podcast. It is, however, the first time Kristin has described them as “friends.” And Kristin also put a photo of the two of them on her Instagram grid. If that’s not friendship, I don’t know what is.
Unfortunately, Kristin wasn’t able to expand on the status of her relationship with Lauren, aka LC. Fans will have to wait until the Laguna Beach reunion airs next year to find out what really went down between the two.
However, Kristin did reveal that she had a “great time” reuniting with her reality show co-stars. “It was such a great time,” she said. “I’m not trying to be cheesy, but it really was healing in a lot of ways. It was very therapeutic.”

The idea of reuniting with Lauren and Stephen—the two players in Kristin’s love triangle storyline in season 1—as well as other members of the original cast wasn’t all that appealing to Kristin at first. “If I’m being completely honest, I didn’t actually want to do it,” she admitted on her podcast. “I didn’t want to do it, and I’m really happy that I did. It was such a great experience, and just a nice way, I think, to end the whole Laguna Beach of it all.”
The two-hour Laguna Beach reunion is expected to premiere on Roku sometime in 2026, with Kristin, Lauren, and Stephen in attendance, along with Lo Bosworth, Talan Torriero, Trey Phillips, Christina Shuller, Dieter Schmitz, Jessica Smith, and Alex Hooser.
