Despite facing pushback from her daughter’s father’s family, who have been raising her, Kenna fosters a relationship with her child while confronting her past mistakes.

But due to the film’s title and Withers being cast in a leading role, many have joked that it is a wild sequel to this year’s sports horror film Him.
Withers appeared in Justin Tipping’s directorial debut as Cameron Cade, a promising football star who is staging his big comeback after a brutal head injury under the tutelage of Isaiah White (Marlon Wayans), a legendary figure in the game.
“My heart skipped a beat I thought we already got a sequel,” a YouTube user wrote in the comment section for the trailer.
Another added: “Tyriq being in Him titles and I’m here for it….I’m sat”, while a third wrote: “Anybody else thought this was a severely early Him sequel?”
One person quipped: “Him? What You doing in the bar are You gonna play football?”

Speaking to NME, the actor explained what attracted him to the role: “What drew me to Cameron is that he’s carving his own path.
“The younger generation is more mentally and emotionally aware and wants to take a more holistic route to success.
“Whereas the older generation [dictates] that you must sacrifice everything and [make yourself] miserable to get there.”
Withers also hit our screens earlier this year in the legacy sequel of I Know What You Did Last Summer, alongside Freddie Prinze Jr and Jennifer Love Hewitt.
Withers starred as Teddy Spencer, one of the central group that covers up the death of a Southport resident in a terrible car crash.
