Gul assumed his current position in 2024, before which he had been CEO of Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital Jeddah since 2023. The hospital opened its doors in Qatar in 2022, as an affiliation between Elegancia Healthcare, a subsidiary of Estithmar Holding, and the U.S.-based Cedars-Sinai. In August 2025, The View Hospital signed an MoU with Ooredoo in affiliation with Cedars-Sinai to advance technology driven healthcare in Qatar and the MoU also includes addition of services from the Korean Medical Center. Gul is concurrently an honorary professor at UCL Global Business School for Health.
