John Stamos is standing by his wife.
Stamos, who has been married to Caitlin McHugh since 2018, recently appeared on a Monday episode of the “Good Guys” podcast hosted by Josh Peck and Ben Soffer. During the conversation, the hosts asked Stamos about his relationship with Lori Loughlin.
Loughlin and Stamos have a long history together, dating back to their fictional relationship on the TV show “Full House.” Since then, they’ve remained close — but that bond was put under the spotlight when one of the hosts asked Stamos if he’d consider inviting Loughlin into his marriage.
“No. No fucking way,” Stamos passionately responded to co-host Soffer.
“The Marriage Fool” actor emphasized the fact that his relationship with Loughlin is strictly platonic — then sarcastically turned the question back over to Soffer.

“Do you do that with your wife? Are you a swinger?” he asked Soffer, who has been married to Claudia Oshry since 2017.
Soffer responded, “I don’t.”
Peck then asked Stamos if he’s ever known successful swinger couples.
“It never works,” Stamos quickly cut in.
He then backtracked on his response and recalled having “two or three friends” who participate in the lifestyle, and “somehow make it work.”
Earlier in the interview, Stamos described Loughlin as “the one that got away.”

“There was a very small window of the two of us being single at the same time,” he revealed.
Stamos went on to reference the ’70s classic “Grease,” likening Loughlin to the character Sandy while she was still in her innocent phase and “before the leather,” while Rebecca Romijn, whom he was married to for seven years, “was Sandy in the leather and the ‘tell me about it, stud.’”
“Lori was so sweet and I loved working with her, but it was just too — she was too nice for me,” he said.
