The new revision of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan “Greece 2.0” is expected to reach 800-900 million euros, similar to adjustments being made by other EU member-states.
The revised plan must be submitted by the end of October 2025.
Alternate National Economy and Finance Minister Nikos Papathanasis told a press conference on Wednesday that the seventh payment request to the EU will be submitted in the first days of December.
Regarding the financial arm of the Recovery Fund, Papathanasis estimated that the sixth payment request will be submitted within the year, while efforts will be made to submit the seventh request in the first months of 2026, along with the eighth request for grants.
He expressed optimism that all Recovery Fund loans will be utilized, despite recorded delays, saying, “It is too early to talk about alternatives.”
