The Museum has an exciting opportunity for a professional to join the agency as an EL1 Creative Studio Manager
Role purposeThe Creative Studio Manager leads the studio of 10 multidisciplinary specialists across design, interactive and words. This role is multifaced and strategically vital, ensuring the highest standards of quality outputs of creative excellence and operational efficiency. A critical aspect of the role involves functioning as a central point for inter-divisional collaboration, amplifying curatorial and institutional visions into tangible, impactful experiences for diverse audiences across Marketing, Publishing and Interactive. This role provides leadership and mentorship to the creative studio team, ensuring alignment with the Museum’s mission, values and strategic objectives while championing innovation, creativity and excellence in all studio outputs.
Key accountabilities
- Setting up the Creative Studio model for success through current state and future state analysis, implementation of best practise workflow, practices and project management system to streamline production and uplift creative excellence.
- Manage multiple projects lifecycle from concept to delivery, aligning to creative vision and collaborating with the curatorial, exhibition and other creative content teams such as Marketing, Publishing and Interactive.
- Establishing, implementing, and continuously refining efficient creative workflows. Allocate resources effectively, develop timelines, personnel and budget management through project management tools such as Jira or Asana.
- Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary creative team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and performance.
- Ensure creative excellence and brand consistency across all creative outputs.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to Work Health and Safety (WH&S) by actively supporting a positive safety culture, following the Museum’s WHS policies and procedures, and complying with reasonable instructions to ensure alignment with the Work Health and Safety Act 2011
