A music video for “Stronger Now” from Sumo Cyco‘s newly released album “NEON VOID” has made its way out. The band’s vocalist Skye Sweetnam once again took up the task of directly the clip, which is available below. The song came to be on an upright piano gifted to Sweetnam by the band’s guitarist Matt Drake. Sweetnam elaborated on that:

“We didn’t have much money at the time. I started sitting at this piano every day, relearning skills from lessons I’d taken 20 years ago. It was slow, frustrating work. Then ‘Stronger Now’ happened. I finally felt ready to step into my own power again. The crescendo hits like hope itself; it’s about standing tall even when you’ve been knocked down.

Playing that piano pulled me back to my childhood. It reignited my connection to music and creativity. In moments of anxiety and depression, this song became a reminder that hope can survive and even grow in the darkest times.”
