A star of hit HBO series Succession has fled the U.S. to live in the UK, following in the footsteps of Rosie O’Donnell who relocated to Ireland.

Fisher Stevens has headed to London with his family, abandoning life in America after deciding it was time to “get out.” The actor, who found fame in the 1980s starring in movies such as Short Circuit is also a renowned director and was behind Netflix‘s Beckham docu-series.

Speaking about the decision, Fisher, 61, said, “I moved my family to London about eight weeks ago. We have a 12 and 9 year old, and my wife and I decided it was time to get out of the U.S. for a minute, see what it’s like in Europe and the U.K.”

Fisher, who is married to South African documentary film director and producer, Alexis Bloom, 49, continued to People, “It’s pretty nice! My wife [Alexis Bloom] and I make documentaries, so there are a couple things we’re working out on there, and my wife’s parents live in London too, so that’s been good.”

Addressing if the current state of politics had played a role in their decision to move he didn’t definitively say that it was why they had left, but did admit he isn’t a fan of the Trump administration, especially when it comes to environmental policies.

He said, “I did this movie with Leonardo DiCaprio Before the Flood, and we interviewed these major corporations in the Amazon, like Cargill, who promised to farm more sustainably, and things have not gotten any better.

“It’s now 10 years later. It’s more important than ever to keep shining a light on these stories.” A synopsis of the documentary says, “Before the Flood is a 2016 documentary film featuring Leonardo DiCaprio that chronicles his journey to raise awareness about the devastating effects of climate change around the world. The film shows DiCaprio meeting with scientists, world leaders, and activists to investigate the causes of the crisis and potential solutions.”

Fisher added, “Knowing that the Trump administration is very heavily funded by the fossil fuels … I mean, the Secretary of Energy, Chris Wright is a former oil executive who refuses to [make change].

“He says, ‘Oh yeah, the climate is changing…’ But this administration is doing everything it can to not be responsible citizens for the world.”

Fisher has joined a growing list of stars who have abandoned the US in the recent years. Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi moved to the English countryside and now live in a Cotswolds farmhouse in the Cotswolds, with Ellen confirming they had decided to move abroad permanently when Donald Trump was voted back into office for a second term.

Rosie O’Donnell also confirmed she’d left the U.S. for Ireland in March saying, “It’s been heartbreaking to see what’s happening politically and hard for me personally as well. The personal is political, as we all know.”
