Tamera Mowry-Housley has been busy. She recently reprised her role of Gethsemane for “Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Buried at C,” which premiered on the Hallmark Channel on October 12. Her Christmas movie, “Tidings for the Season,” will co-star B.J. Britt and is part of the 2025 Holiday lineup.

But for those who already watched “Buried at C” and don’t want to wait until November 16th for “Tidings for the Season,” she’s got another exciting project. Just in time for the holiday season, the show “Baked With Love: Holiday.” The baking show sees 10 pairs of home bakers compete with their own family recipes. Tamera found that working on an unscripted show isn’t that much different from the other characters she brings to life.

Tamera Mowry-Housley Balances Unscripted TV and Authenticity

Tamera is no stranger to unscripted material, as she co-hosted “The Real” for seven years. But she acknowledges that, while she brings something different to each genre, she also always makes sure a part of herself shines through.

“I don’t have to memorize lines, but I do have to memorize moments,” she told Popternative. “Like, I have to memorize which week’s theme we’re going to be focusing on. When I’m going to come in, and what I want to get out of the contestants. But I will say, the one thing that’s the same is I always want to — even when you’re acting — you always want to bring a little bit of yourself to the role.”

Tamera Mowry-Housley Reveals Her Mother’s Key to Embracing Individuality as a Twin

The “Scouting for Christmas” star and her twin sister, Tia Mowry, were extremely close for much of their lives, and often took roles in the same projects. Tamera referenced the valuable piece of advice her mother used to say to them growing up.

“My mom always said that, being a twin, even though we look alike, we are different, and there’s something that makes you unique,” she said. “So bringing yourself always brings that uniqueness. Even though I’m a twin, we’re uniquely different.”

“When you bring that, that is what makes the show,” she continued.

“I really love people, I love people,” she added. “I love hearing their stories, I love hearing what motivates them. So, like I would bring a little bit of myself to the role, I would bring myself to hosting ‘Baked With Love.’ So when you see me groing around and speaking with the pairs, most of the time I’m literally just listening and engaging.”

Tamera Mowry Lauds Judges’ Kindness, Honesty on New Hallmark Show

Tamera previously hosted two other baking shows: “Baker’s Dozen” and the “Dr. Seuss Baking Challenge.” She was happy to be hosting “Baked With Love” and not judging, as the dishes made were so personal. She noted being impressed by judges Anna Haugh and Vaughn Vreeland’s ability to be sensitive to that while remaining honest.

They “were so beautiful in their judging, and I say that because, when you’re getting critiqued, especially with a family recipe, it’s vulnerable, and the judges knew that,” she told EntertainmentNow. “At the same time, they couldn’t be fake about it.”

“Baked With Love: Holiday” premieres on the Hallmark Channel on Monday, October 27, at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.
