Golden, the breakout song from Netflix’s hit animated film KPop Demon Hunters, has climbed to No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, holding ground against Taylor Swift’s latest chart-topper.
According to Billboard’s preview article released on Monday, Golden rose one spot from the previous week to claim the No. 2 position, trailing only Swift’s The Fate of Ophelia, which continues its three-week run at No. 1.
Fueled by the twin success of the film and its soundtrack, Golden previously reigned atop the Hot 100 for a total of eight weeks, seven of them consecutive, before dipping to No. 13 earlier this month following the release of Swift’s new album. The track has since regained momentum, first rising to No. 3 and now up to No. 2, underscoring its enduring appeal among fans worldwide.
Swift remains firmly at the summit, with The Fate of Ophelia leading for a third week and four additional tracks from her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, still in the Hot 100’s top 10, extending her grip on the US charts.
