LinkedIn was instrumental in shutting down a company scraping its information earlier this year. Now, it is going after another.
The company, a subsidiary of Microsoft Corp., filed its latest lawsuit this month against ProAPIs Inc., alleging that the company created millions of fake accounts to log on to the LinkedIn site, extracting information about users such as job and education details in addition to their posts, reactions and comments.
