The 42-year-old, with an address in Dublin 1, appeared before Dublin Circuit Criminal Court on Tuesday, where he pleaded guilty to dangerous driving causing serious bodily harm and driving a mechanically propelled vehicle under the influence of an intoxicant on May 27th 2022.

The charges relate to an incident on Amiens Street, where he hit a pedestrian while riding a motorcycle.

The Ukrainian woman, Velentyna Linok (64), was hit as she crossed the street near Connolly Station.

At the scene, Hutch, who is a nephew of Gerry ‘The Monk’, told passers-by, “he just ran out in front of me.”

He also admitted to two counts of dangerous driving relating to a separate incident in Summerhill, Dublin, on the same date.

Hutch, who now goes by Derek Moore, is facing up to 10 years behind bars.

Following the hearing on Tuesday, he was remanded on bail and will be sentenced by Judge Martin Nolan on December 12th.

Hutch was freed from prison just 10 months before the incident.

He was serving 16 years for the armed robbery of a van in Lucan in May 2009, during which his friend and accomplice, Gareth Molloy, was shot dead by gardaí.

He was also serving time concurrently for the death of Barry Maguire on December 26th, 2007.

He and Alan Donohue pleaded guilty to manslaughter and to intentionally or recklessly causing serious harm to another man, Damien Carty, on the same date. Hutch was given 10 years in prison for the killing, with four years suspended.

He has also served time for other robbery and firearms offences.

In 2015, while behind bars, his brother, Gary Hutch, was murdered in Spain, sparking the beginning of the bloody Kinahan-Hutch feud.

Del Boy himself was also targeted twice by the Kinahan cartel while in prison.

In one incident, which occurred just days after he was granted temporary release following his brother’s death, he was attacked in the excersise yard after the cartel put a €10,000 bounty on his head.

During a second violent attack three months later, two men entered his cell and attacked him with a makeshift blade.

Two other inmates came to Hutch’s rescue, and he escaped with a defensive slash wound to his arms.
