Heimir Hallgrimsson has been left with a major injury worry ahead of the World Cup double header next month as key striker Evan Ferguson was forced out of the action just seven minutes into Roma’s league game on Wednesday night.
Ferguson, whose form has been under scrutiny amid reports in the local media that Roma were considering cutting short his season long loan deal and returning him to Brighton in the January window, was given a starting role by manager Gian Piero Gasperini for the midweek league game at home to Parma but the Irish striker was forced off after just seven minutes.
