Gardaí and PSNI officers mount joint cross-border operation 

Gardaí and the PSNI yesterday mounted a joint cross-border operation on the border with Derry and Tyrone. 

Officers from both forces were on the ground at Killea and the Clady crossing near Castlefinn.

“Today, our officers worked with our colleagues from An Garda Síochána conducting a cross-border operation on main thoroughfares focusing on road safety, drugs and border related crime,” a PSNI spokesperson said.

“Working together to ensure people on both sides of the border are kept safe. With Halloween being a spectacular and busy event in our city, it is our priority to ensure all visitors and road users are kept safe throughout their journey and stay here”.
