‘I flushed my Leaving Cert results down the toilet’ – entrepreneur Karl Fitzpatrick on his unconventional path to success

Karl Fitzpatrick was a finalist in this year’s EY Entrepreneur Of The Year competition for his role in achieving monumental success with his online learning platform, but such an achievement was once a pipe dream.

A native of Cork and a past pupil of Presentation Brothers College, Mr Fitzpatrick (46) received his Leaving Cert results in 1996, but things did not go to plan.
