A 7.1-acre landholding in Rathdrum, zoned partly for town-centre use, has been placed on the market with a guide price of €1.15 million.

Known as Rectory Field, the site is positioned between Main Street and Station Road and is within walking distance of Rathdrum Railway Station. It is also close to Avondale House and Forest Park, home to the Beyond the Trees visitor attraction.

The holding extends to approximately 2.87 hectares in total, with around 4.5 acres zoned Town Centre under the current County Development Plan. The remainder forms part of the wider AA1 (Action Area 1) designation for Rathdrum. The land is currently in grass, with mature and well-defined boundary lines, and it slopes gently towards Station Road.

Public transport in the area includes the Dublin–Rosslare train service, which stops in Rathdrum, along with the 133 bus route. Road access to the N11/M11 is within a 10–15 minute drive.

A spokesperson for Forkin Property described the holding as “a substantial in-town development site” and said the Town Centre zoning “allows for a variety of possible uses including residential, retail, office, civic and tourism,” subject to planning permission.
