Aniston and her boyfriend were first linked back in July 2025, when they were spotted vacationing on a yacht in Mallorca. The Friends star hard-launched Curtis as her boyfriend on Instagram on November 2 with a birthday tribute post. “Happy birthday my love,” she captioned it, adding, “Cherished ❤️.” Her post featured a single black-and-white photo of the pair embracing. “Happy Birthday ! LOVE this Lovestory 💕✨,” Aniston’s The Morning Show co-star, Reese Witherspoon, wrote in the comments. Her ex husband, Justin Theroux—whom the actress was married to from 2015 to 2018—didn’t comment but liked the post, per People.
Curtis similarly made things Instagram official on his own feed, just two days after Aniston’s hard-launch post. The 50-year-old hypnotherapist posted pictures of his birthday celebration with Aniston. In his caption, he wrote, “If this is a dream I don’t want to wake up. ❤️.”

According to his official website, Curtis is a multi-hyphenate, holding the roles of “transformational coach, author, and speaker.” His site explains that he’s known for his “signature, Hypno-Coaching approach” that helps clients “to uncover and release the subconscious blocks holding you back, rewire your inner programming, and awaken the truth of who you really are.”
A longtime figure in the wellness space with over two decades of experience, Curtis held prior roles at WebMD, Everyday Health, and the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN), according to his bio. Model Miranda Kerr graduated from INN in 2011, becoming a certified health coach. She had Curtis on her Wellness Wednesday Instagram Live series as a guest in 2022 to announce her scholarship program with the institute.
As an author, he’s published the self-help book The Stimulati Experience and co-created The Shift Workbook: Coding a New Consciousness with Sara Hadir. In July 2025, a source told People “Jen [Aniston] had read his book and was familiar with his work” before they were introduced. “She’s really into self-help and wellness,” they added.
He was previously married and has a son.
According to an Observer article from 2002, Curtis was previously married to Rachel Napolitano. After they met, he realized he’d seen her years earlier on Howard Stern’s E! Series and had a crush on her. Although the Observer piece says they wed in 2003, it’s unclear when they divorced. They reportedly share a son, who is mentioned in the acknowledgements of Curtis’s book, The Stimulati Experience.
Curtis is also a dog dad, regularly sharing pictures of his four-legged friend named Odie to his Instagram—including in the last slide of his post about his 50th birthday party, which doubled as his hard-launch with Aniston.
He’s been open about his experience with chronic illness.
The hypnotherapist discussed his health journey in a 2018 interview with Fast Company. The profile described how he learned he had lesions on his spinal cord at age 22. Subsequently, he experienced “all the symptoms of a spinal cord injury, including pain, headaches, muscle spasticity, and paralysis, in addition to a chronic limp.”
His bio on his website goes into further detail, explaining that “[a]fter years of living with a chronic, misdiagnosed illness and emotional trauma, he found a way to heal that honored both the body and the soul” and now helps others living with chronic illnesses through his coaching.

It all comes back to friends. When news first broke that Aniston and Curtis were seeing each other in July 2025, a source told People the pair were “casually dating and having fun.” Another source shared with the outlet, “They’ve been seeing each other for a few months now. They were introduced by a friend and started out as friends.”
Later in the article, the source added of Aniston, “She’s been happy on her own, but she’s also open to sharing her life with someone. As long as it feels right. Jen’s in a very good place right now—grounded, fulfilled and very happy.”
He’s shared advice with his followers about finding love after 40.
A few days before the couple went Instagram official, Curtis did an Instagram Q&A answering his follower’s questions. One person asked how to find love at 42. “That’s a great question,” Curtis said. “Same as you do at 22 and 32 but with more confidence, more experience and more authenticity. You’re not old. First love yourself and recognize that you are the perfect age.”
“And [recognize] that life is not over at 42,” he continued. “When you are 62 and 72, you will look back at 42 and wish that you were that age. So start now. Go out, open yourself to love. Make eye contact and smile. Connect with people, and most importantly, love yourself. When you love yourself, you will magnetize more love to you.”
