Half-time: Shamrock Rovers 0-0 Cork City

It’s all square here at the break but this cup final has been turned on it’s head after Harry Nevin’s dismissal just before the break. The regret for Cork City will be that they had started strongly, with Ed McGinty called into action early on to deny Seani Maguire and Darragh Crowley. The Hoops took their time to settle into the decider and began to find their rhythm after the half-hour mark. Graham Burke and Matt Healy had half-chances, but after the red card, the momentum is with Stephen Bradley’s side now who will look to secure a first double in 38 years in the second half.
