Young scoliosis patient was ‘mistakenly taken off waiting list’

Pressure is growing for the proposed inquiry into spina bifida and complex scoliosis services at Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) to be statutory and held in public.
It follows a protected disclosure by a CHI whistleblower in August that the late Harvey Morrison Sherratt (9), who suffered from spina bifida and scoliosis and waited in pain for nearly three years for spinal surgery, was “mistakenly taken off the waiting list because he was deemed to be in palliative care”.
