Small things matter, especially when they relate to fairness and a sense that equality belongs to all.
Except, of course, it doesn’t. Not in general life, not in sport, not anywhere, it seems. Still, you might reasonably expect that it would be a genuine objective in sport, especially in organisational matters where checks and balances can be easily applied.
