You weren’t sold on her world premiere look, and I have a feeling this one might not sway everyone either. Millie opted for a body-hugging Bronx and Banco Liora gown — and before you roll your eyes, there’s a small but crucial detail that deserves recognition.
The original runway version of this gown was completely sheer, but for this appearance, her team added lining to create an illusion effect. And honestly? Whoever executed that deserves full credit. The craftsmanship allows the diamond-patterned mesh overlay and black velvet bow detail to remain the focus, while the subtle lining keeps it wearable and elegant. It strikes the right balance between sensuality and sophistication — an evolution of Millie’s maturing style that admirable, no?
If I had one small note, it’s that I wish the hemline had been extended by a couple of inches. Then again, that might have made the gown too heavy with each step — so perhaps this slightly cropped finish was a deliberate choice for ease.
This is one of those looks that proves small tweaks can make all the difference. It’s not a reinvention, but it’s a smart refinement.
