Train Dreams is a feature-length film, now available on Netflix and in at least a couple of Dublin cinemas. So maybe we shouldn’t be reviewing it at all. However, these days do seem like the kind of time to snuggle up with a gentle story.
And it’s actually quite a savage story, gently told. Joel Edgerton is constantly on screen as Robert Grainier, an ordinary man who has endured tragedy and is trying to make sense of his life.
