Conor McGregor has been snapped with the former US Navy Seal who killed Osama bin Laden.

Mr McGregor, 37, posed with Rob O’Neill, 49, in photos taken at the MMA’s stars Black Forge Inn Pub in Walkinstown, south Dublin.

He said he interviewed O’Neill, 49, as part of a series of interviews with major figures called ‘1 of 1’.

O’Neill, 49, rose to prominence after he was one of a Seal special forces team that raided the lair of bin Laden – America’s public enemy number one for masterminding the 9/11 attacks that killed thousands of people in September 2001 – in a daring attack in Abbottabad, Pakistan in May 2011.

O’Neill was the Seal operator who cornered bin Laden in an upstairs bedroom of a villa – and shot him dead.

He is now a celebrity and pundit and appears to be the first person interviewed by McGregor in his new series.

Mr McGregor tweeted about the meeting on Monday morning – and also launched a verbal attack on the Irish government.

He said: “Introducing the first of my series with people who are ‘1 of 1!’

“Here I am with the man who eliminated terrorist Osama Bin Laden. Seal Team Six’s Rob O’ Neal. Only at The Black Forge Inn!”

Mr O’Neill tweeted in support of Mr McGregor’s post and added: “Great Energy in Ireland.”

Mr McGregor also tweeted his support for US President Donald Trump’s plan to designate the Muslim Brotherhood Islamic group as a foreign terrorist organisation.

He said: “We welcome together greatly the divine timing on the announcement today that the Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Organisation is now being officially designated so by the US administration!

“They will join the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain, Russia, Syria, and Jordan in doing so. Bravo again, President Donald J Trump!

“Bring her home!”

He also made comments about a live criminal court case in Ireland.

And he made a bizarre reference to Britain’s Henry VII, a 16th century king, also known as Henry Tudor.

He said: “Ireland, we will rise and it is of my opinion that we rise toward Kingship once again! Henry Tudor is dead!

“And today we are governed by weak, treacherous weasels who hold no account. Power without accountability is tyranny.

“The Irish King must return.”
