Amid the huge craze surrounding the Jon Chu-directed movie, the lead stars showcased their undeniable connection and amazing kitchen skills as they took over the studio and crafted their own version of pizzas.
The guest appearance also featured an interesting Q&A segment, where the stars candidly discussed behind-the-scenes moments on the set, as well as some random fun facts and personal anecdotes.
Among those they discussed was their get-together with fellow cast members.

“It started with a dinner for me with Jon,” Bailey said, adding that the filmmaker’s mother was the one who helped him land his role in the movie.
“His mom was there and she shouted down, ‘If you work with my son, it will be the best thing in the world, and she was completely right,” he recalled, adding, “She was the one who got me the part. We had a lovely meal and a lovely long chat at the beginning of what turned out to be extraordinary in a couple of years.”
Apart from the never-before-heard stories, fans also get to see the incredible chemistry and bond between the two stars.
At one point, Bailey got playfully cozy with the former Disney star as he wrapped his arms behind her while she smiled the whole time.
However, as clips from their New York Times Cooking appearance go viral, fans couldn’t help but notice one small detail.
Many online users pointed out Bailey’s gesture towards his female co-star, suggesting it might have made her feel uncomfortable.
“She looks so uncomfortable.. she’s fine but her movements are quite shy like.. awkward.. The brunette hair is looking so perfect, though,” one wrote.
“is it me or does she look so uncomfortable?” one asked.
One user replied saying, “It’s actually uncomfortable to watch.”
“She looks uncomfortable,” a commenter echoed.
“Um, what is bonding? She has a boyfriend. And she looks so uncomfortable. Da f–k.” another noted.
A fan also noticed the same and said, “Does she look uncomfortable because she’s making a meal that she might have to eat.”
Another user added saying, “She didn’t look at all comfortable.”
Regardless of the conversation online, the clip makes it clear just how strong their bond is and shows their playful rapport on set.
