No wonder, then, that the family are looking to join Chelsy’s parents on Mauritius more permanently. ‘We got locked down on the island while visiting my parents during COVID, and while we were here, we got a bit further under the skin of the place from a non-holidaying perspective,’ she explained. ‘We’re now in the process of moving out here (semi-) full-time.’
From sunset drinks with neighbours to crab-catching lessons for the children, Chelsy’s escape to paradise is nothing short of a happy ending for the Aya founder and her hotelier husband. Listing her favourite places on the island, Chelsy sang the praises of The Lux Grand Baie Spa, the Patrick Mavros jewellery atelier, as well as boutiques like Goyco at Bloom and Rendez Vous at La Croisette.
Previously, they lived together in Chiswick, London, but spent a lot of time travelling and with Cutmore-Scott’s actor brother, Jack, in LA. The Daily Mail first reported that they were due to wed in March 2020, after Davy was spotted with a sapphire engagement ring on her finger.
