It’s been a long time coming, but after almost ten years, The Night Manager is finally back. Prime Video and the BBC have announced that Season 2 of the hit John le Carré–inspired thriller will premiere on Sunday, January 11, 2026, marking the return of Tom Hiddleston’s Jonathan Pine. But for fans in the UK, it’s now been announced that they’ll be getting things a bit earlier. The series will debut with a three-episode premiere on BBC iPlayer and on BBC One on January 1, followed by weekly installments each Sunday through February 1, when the sixth and final episode arrives.

Season 2 brings together an exciting blend of returning favorites and new faces, with Hiddleston back as Jonathan Pine alongside Olivia Colman as Angela Burr, Alistair Petrie as Sandy Langbourne, Douglas Hodge as Rex Mayhew, Michael Nardone as Frisky, and Noah Jupe as Daniel Roper. Joining them for the new chapter are Camila Morrone as Roxana, Diego Calva as Teddy Dos Santos, Indira Varma as Mayra, Paul Chahidi as Basil, and Hayley Squires as Sally.

What Is ‘The Night Manager’ Season 2 About?

The first season, in 2016, followed former British intelligence officer Jonathan Pine as he infiltrated the criminal empire of arms dealer Richard Roper (Hugh Laurie). But Season 2 picks up nearly a decade later, with Pine trying to live a quiet life under his new identity, Alex Goodwin, as a low-level MI6 surveillance officer in present-day London. That peace shatters when Pine spots a familiar mercenary from Roper’s old circle — a sighting that drags him back into the underworld he once escaped. His forced return to the field leads to a brutal confrontation with Teddy Dos Santos (Diego Calva), a Colombian businessman with ties to arms trafficking and guerrilla warfare.

Pine’s mission is a globetrotting one, which eventually takes him to South America and Colombia, where he partners with Roxana Bolaños (Camila Morrone), a savvy business entrepreneur with her own motives. Together, they dive into Teddy’s violent operation while Pine races to uncover a conspiracy that could destabilize an entire nation. Surrounded by shifting alliances and deadly betrayals, Pine must decide who he can trust — and how far he’s willing to go.

The Night Manager Season 2 arrives on BBC One in the UK on January 1 and on Prime Video in the US on January 11.
