Food writer Amber Guinness

Amber Guinness is a cook and food writer who lives near Florence, Italy with her husband Matthew and their son. She’s London born and studied history and Italian literature at the University of Edinburgh.

A huge part of my childhood growing up in Tuscany was based around broths and soups. Italians don’t waste anything, so you roast a chicken, or you have a bit of beef that’s a bit too grizzly, you’ll chuck it in a pot and make a delicious broth. We always had people coming and going, friends would pass through, so there were quite big meals.
