French inflation was unexpectedly unchanged in November as Spain’s and Italy’s eased, highlighting the mixed picture for prices in some of the region’s biggest economies.

France’s reading held steady at 0.8%, defying predictions that it would edge up to 1%. Italy’s fell to 1.1%, with analysts having anticipated it would stay at 1.3%. Spain’s dropped to 3.1% — just exceeding the median estimate in a Bloomberg survey.
