Official complaint lodged with the HSE over ‘distressing’ incident
Wexford General Hospital.
An official complaint has been made to the HSE following an incident on a ward at Wexford General Hospital which saw an elderly woman allegedly assaulted in her bed and other patients verbally abused, “terrified” and distressed over the course of a prolonged incident that lasted more than three hours.
It’s alleged that the staff at Wexford General “completely failed to maintain a safe and controlled environment” when dealing with a female patient with behavioural or psychiatric issues.
