Greece is doubling its participation in the European Space Agency (ESA) research and development programs to more than 66 million euros every three years, Digital Governance and AI Minister Dimitris Papastergiou said in his address to the ESA Ministerial Council, which took place in Bremen, Germany on Wednesday and Thursday.

According to a ministry announcement, the doubling of the investment will ensure that the sector’s recent strong growth will continue, while the funds will be returned to the economy many times over – with a yield as high as 1:10, according to some estimates – in the form of works, technology, and new jobs.
