Police say they are ‘keen to trace this man’ following the alleged attack in a town centre last month

Police are appealing for assistance after a man was reportedly raped and then robbed of his watch in a violent town centre assault. Detectives have issued CCTV images of an individual they wish to speak to in relation last month’s incident in the south-east of England.

The victim is currently receiving support from specially trained officers. The incident is reported to have happened in Crawley, West Sussex, in the early hours of October 15, but police have only released details now, reports the Mirror

Sussex Police stated: “We received a report that a man aged in his 30s had been attacked at an address in the High Street on 15 October in the early hours. The suspect also stole his watch and cash before making off.”

Detective Inspector Becki Buckley said: “We are continuing to make extensive enquiries in this case and are keen to trace this man. If you know who he is or have any information about him, please contact us.”
