“Full House” stars Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber are reflecting on their time working with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen on the beloved sitcom.

Mary-Kate and Olsen and Ashley Olsen famously split the role of Michelle Tanner on the long-running series from when they were nine months old to nine years old, but it’s come forward that they didn’t equally enjoy filming.

Jodie and Andrea, who played Stephanie Tanner and Kimmy Gibbler, respectively, opened up about the young actors on a recent episode of their “How Rude, Tanneritos” podcast.

“Was there ever a point when the directors would favor working with one twin over the other and give them more time on set?” a fan asked, as read by Andrea during the November episode. “In a situation like that, could they fire one and keep the other? How does that work with twins? Especially when they get older and you don’t need to switch out the crying babies.”

Sweetin tackled the question first, saying, “I would say yes, there was a point when they favored working with one over the other.”

She then clarified that this was “at the beginning” of the twins’ acting tenure on the show before revealing which twin was more keen to filming.

“It was Ashley,” Jodie revealed. “Mary-Kate did not like being out on set, but Ashley was like, ‘Cool, Whatevs.’ She was much more kind of docile about it.”

She added that the “funny” part of the twins’ dichotomy is that, it has held up as Mary-Kate and Ashley got older.

“That’s absolutely who they are,” Jodie said. “Ashley will be like, ‘Sure, whatevs.’ Mary Kate was like, ‘I don’t want to do this.’”

She continued, “There would be certain scenes that one would do and what the other one wouldn’t or something like that.”

Barber agreed, adding, “One would want to do a certain scene because it was more fun for them and the other didn’t care.”

Sweetin also explained how there was one type of scene the girls would butt heads over, so the directors “had to divide up the sweets eating scenes because that was the only thing that they were like, ‘This isn’t fair.’ They couldn’t have one twin eating more sweets than the other one, or the girls would riot.”
