Major disruption has been caused on a key commuter route in Clare following two separate collisions in quick succession.
Gardaí and emergency services are at the scene of two separate collisions on the dual carriageway on the N18 heading southbound near Bunratty.
The right lane has been closed following the incidents to allow for the scenes to be attended to.
It is unknown whether any injuries have occurred as a result of the crashes.
Gardaí have advised that traffic is heavy in the area due to the collisions and have warned commuters that they may face delays to their journeys.
