The minimum wage for League of Ireland players will increase from the 2026 season onwards, one element of a range of improvements announced by players union PFA Ireland today.

Full-time professional players aged 20 and over will now be entitled to a minimum wage of €450 per week, up from €430, with those aged between 19 and 16 also in line for increases of €20 each.
