TLC just released its 1000-Lb Sisters Season 8 trailer — and sisters Amy Slaton and Tammy Slaton are “drifting apart” after a massive “blow-up.”
On Tuesday, Dec. 2, the network announced a premiere date for Season 8 of 1000-Lb Sisters as well as teased major drama to come.
At the beginning of the trailer, Tammy pointed out that “everything about me is smaller” after losing 500 pounds and undergoing excess skin removal surgery.
Meanwhile, Amy admitted, “I am trying to learn from my mistakes,” referring to her 2024 arrest for drug possession after she was bitten by a camel at Tennessee Safari Park in Alamo, Tenn. “I’m becoming an adult for once.”
Other scenes showed Amy trying on a wedding dress after getting engaged to Brian Lovvorn. (They married on Oct. 31.)
“It’s been right at two months since Tammy and Amy had their big blow-up,” their brother, Chris Combs, said, as their sister, Misty, noted the “group chat’s lively. Chris then read from the text exchange thread, explaining, “Every other word, an F-bomb. ‘Beep beep beep, you beep beep beep a–.'”
At the same time, Tammy appeared to be thriving in her personal life. She moved in with her girlfriend, Andrea Dalton (now fiancée), and interviewed for a volunteer position at an animal shelter.
Amy later lamented, “My family, they want nothing to do with it. And neither does Queen Tammy,” of her and Lovvorn having their wedding at a haunted venue.
Toward the end of the Season 8 trailer, Chris asked Tammy if she and Amy had stopped fighting yet. She immediately quipped, “If Amy keeps her mouth shut, so would I.”
In a confessional, Tammy admitted, “It feels like we’re drifting apart. She used to be my best friend.”
The trailer also revealed that Tammy called Amy a “deadbeat mom.” Another clip showed Amy declaring, “I can’t handle her toxic –s no more. I’m done.”
To end the trailer, Amy told her siblings of making up with Tammy, “I’m not going to sit here and have you feed me this boloney when I don’t like boloney.”
Catch the 1000-Lb Sisters Season 8 premiere on Tuesday, Jan. 6 at 9 p.m. ET on TLC and streaming the next day on HBO Max.
