In an all too close-to-home sign of the risks facing anyone travelling across war-torn Ukraine, West Kerry man Tomás Mac An T-Saoir revealed to The Kerryman on Monday that just hours after leaving the eastern-central city of Dnipro, a Russian missile strike hit the area, killing four people and injuring 40.
The attack also damaged numerous car service stations, businesses, an office building and close to 50 cars. Eleven of the injured remain in a serious condition.
