Whether you’re bouncing back from a food-filled Thanksgiving or thinking about your new year’s resolutions, increasing your exercise levels might be top of mind right now. I’ve found smartwatches to be a wonderful source of motivation, and before Cyber Monday comes to a close (in a mere few hours) there is one deal I’d recommend hopping on if you need an extra boost of some.

I tested out Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 8 earlier this year and loved its new features that take training and health tracking to another level. The Galaxy Watch 8 is on sale right now for $100 off, but this deal might end soon, so jump on it while you can.

One of the most useful new features on the Galaxy Watch 8 is Samsung’s Running Coach. Running Coach aims to help you train for your next race — whether that’s your first 5K or tenth marathon. It uses AI to calculate metrics like strain, pace, and recovery to improve your running abilities and get you across that finish line.

Running Coach asked me the following ahead of my run. “Before the run, Samsung Health asked me questions about my height, weight, and experience, including the longest distance I’ve run and my respective time to completion. It told me to find a flat course that won’t slow me down, get enough rest the day before my test, fuel up with a light meal and plenty of fluids, and get a light jog in before I initiate the test,” I write in my spotlight of the feature

Then, I record a run for 12 minutes and rate my exertion shortly afterwards. It rates my abilities out of ten (I got a 3) and then comes up with a plan to meet my next exercise milestone, which was running a 5K in less than 35 minutes and running a 10K in less than an hour and ten minutes.

Other features, like sleep and stress tracking, supplement the smartwatch’s fitness suggestions. There’s even an Antioxidant Index that assesses your antioxidant levels through the biosensor on the bottom of the watch and suggests you up your dosage of leafy greens and fruits.

The Galaxy Watch has a bright screen (brighter than the Apple Watch Series 11) and a battery life that easily surpasses a day and a half. It’s especially great for Samsung phone owners, if they want their health, sleep, and stress data all in one place.

How I rated this deal

Because this deal takes $100 off the Galaxy Watch 8’s usual price, resulting in a 29% discount, I’m giving this deal a 5/5.

Because today is Cyber Monday, the final day of Cyber Week’s deal offerings, it’s highly likely that this deal will disappear tomorrow. However, if Samsung is feeling generous, it could extend this deal well into the holiday shopping season.
