“I missed you,” the 36-year-old former Donald Trump White House staffer said on the air.
Former Donald Trump White House staffer Alyssa Farah Griffin has returned to The View following a three-day absence, and gave audiences an explanation on her condition after previously sharing a health update during her hiatus.
After the cohosts — including 36-year-old Griffin — walked out Thursday to a set decorated with Christmas trimmings, moderator Whoopi Goldberg addressed Griffin’s return to the Hot Topics table.
“Welcome to The View!” Goldberg repeated over and over as the audience cheered. “Yeah, so, first of all, welcome back, Alyssa!”

The audience cheered before Griffin spoke about why she’d missed several live broadcasts of the long-running talk show.
“Thank you, I missed you guys!” Griffin replied, before Goldberg inquired about how she was feeling after contracting a stomach virus.
Griffin elaborated, telling her colleagues, “I’m feeling totally better, but getting sick while you’re pregnant is no joke. Everyone, wash, do your whole thing!”
“No Tylenol for you,” Joy Behar joked, apparently referencing Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s previously expressed controversial views on pregnant people taking Tylenol.
Still, Griffin maintained, “I’m feeling great, I’m not contagious, and I missed you.” Behar added, “I’m really excited we’re going to have a baby on the show” in the near future, as Griffin is about seven months pregnant.
On Wednesday, Griffin shared an update on her health to her Instagram Story, revealing that she’s “been down with a stomach virus” and that it’s “not fun being sick” during pregnancy.
“Remember it’s that time of year — be smart, use hand sanitizer, stay home if you’re sick!” the conservative advised.
