Midwinter Break Trailer

“There’s a debt to be paid, and I’ve been looking for a way to pay it…” What happened to them all those years ago? Focus Features has revealed an official trailer for a film titled Midwinter Break, adapted from the book of the same name written by Irish author Bernard MacLaverty. “A day they can’t forget. A truth they can’t escape.” Midwinter Break is a stirring meditation on faith, commitment, and the enduring power of love, as a longtime couple takes a life-changing trip to Amsterdam. Lesley Manville and Ciarán Hinds star Stella & Gerry, a retired couple who’s winter trip to Amsterdam stirs up troubled memories from their past. Clearly these memories involve The Troubles in Ireland and what happened back then. The cast also includes Julie Lamberton and Ed Sayer as younger versions of Stella & Gerry in flashbacks. This looks like it has plenty of gorgeous shots of Amsterdam, I’m just sad to find out the truth about their relationship.

Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Polly Findlay’s film Midwinter Break, direct from YouTube:
