EXCLUSIVE: Searchlight Pictures’ Ready or Not 2: Here I Come has become Searchlight’s biggest trailer launch ever with 68 million views in its first 24 hours, surpassing the 48M first-day performance of A Complete Unknown‘s trailer debut last year. The movie opens on April 10, 2026. The trailer dropped two days ago.

In its first day, the trailer’s viewership spanned a wide range of platforms including: TikTok (33M), Facebook (12M), Instagram (10M), YouTube (6M), X/Twitter (3M), Pinterest (2M), and Reddit (1M).
The trailer also delivered one of Searchlight’s strongest organic openings ever, ranking #3 among the studio’s trailer launches.

Early fan response has been strong across social platforms, where both the poster and trailer have fueled enthusiasm for the sequel to the cult-favorite original. Excitement around the cast is particularly high, with fans celebrating the trio of Samara Weaving, Kathryn Newton, and Sarah Michelle Gellar — one user praising the film for bringing together “three of the coolest blonde final girls in horror.”

The film marks the return of directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillett, with a script by Guy Busick & R. Christopher Murphy. The cast includes Samara Weaving, Kathryn Newton, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shawn Hatosy, Néstor Carbonell, David Cronenberg, and Elijah Wood. Producers are Tripp Vinson, James Vanderbilt, William Sherak, and Bradley J. Fischer.

Blurb for part 2: Moments after surviving an all-out attack from the Le Domas family, Grace (Weaving) faces a new nightmare — and this time with her estranged sister Faith (Newton) at her side. As the last surviving family member, Grace has one chance to claim the High Seat of the Council, but only if she can again survive until dawn. Four rival families are hunting her for the throne, and whoever kills her rules it all.

Ready or Not, released in late summer 2019, grossed $57M at the global box office off a $6 production cost before P&A spend.
