One of Wexford’s most striking Christmas spectacles is set to light up parts of the county once again.
The Oylegate Vintage Club’s annual ‘Light Up The Night Road Run’ will see a convoy of hundreds of vehicles set off from the local GAA club this evening.
The charity event, now in its eighth year, has grown from a modest local gathering into a festive favourite for many.
Up to 300 tractors, lorries, vintage cars, and bikes are expected to light up the winter evening before departing in a spectacular convoy.
Registrations will open from 4.30pm and the road run will leave Oylegate GAA Club at 6pm before making its way to the promenade in Enniscorthy, where the vehicles will remain on display for an hour.

People are encouraged to gather either in Oylegate village or in Enniscorthy town for the best views
For the best views, people are encouraged to gather either in Oylegate village or in Enniscorthy town.
To date, the event has raised over €86,000 for Pieta House, helping to support vital mental health and suicide prevention services. Thousands more in funding are expected to be raised from this year’s edition.
Chairperson of the Oylegate Vintage Club, Henry Cosgrave has said the event would not have grown into what it is today without the local community supporting the road run.
“The event simply would not happen without the outstanding community effort behind it – from volunteers who give up their time, to those who steward, organise, fundraise, and support on the night,” he said.
“Thanks to this dedication and goodwill, the 2025 run is set to bring even more light, colour, and festive spirit to the community,” Mr Cosgrave added.
