Thirty years after she first stepped into the Arklow Bay Hotel, 77-year-old Liz Doyle says she still has “lots of energy” to keep going — with staff and guests hailing the long-serving Ferrybank Lounge team member as “always so friendly” and “an amazing human being”.
After taking a temporary post at the Arklow Bay in November 1995, stepping in for a lobby cleaner who was out sick, what started as a short fill-in for Liz soon became a career that has seen her shine in a variety of roles.
