A recall has been issued for two Ravensburger Pop-it Spinner toys.
The toy company is carrying out a recall of their Pop-it Spinner: Leopard and Pop-it Spinner: Monkey toys. Those who purchased the toys should stop using the product immediately and keep it out of the reach of children.
The risk reported is that of choking, says the The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC). Small parts may detach from the product, which a small child may place in their mouth and choke.
There are approximately 417 affected products in the Republic of Ireland. The product was sold at the following retailers:
- Brown Thomas / Arnotts
- Coggs, St.Stephens Green, Dublin
- O’Connors World of Wonder, Tralee
- Hopkins Toymaster, Wicklow Town
- Duffy’s Toyworld, Dunleer
- Stakelum Office Supplies, Thurles
- Kelly’s Toymaster, Tullamore
- Toymaster Ballina
- Fagan Toys, Mullingar
- Toy Corner, Moycullen

A number of batch numbers of the products are impacted.
The batch numbers can be found on the bottom of the packaging and on the product (under one of the three leaf-shaped wings). If in doubt, it is recommended to return the product.
Pop-it Spinner: Leopard has the item numbers 04868, 12.034.012, 12.034.033. The Pop-it Spinner: Monkey has item numbers 04867l, 12.034.011, 12.034.032.

Customers who bought the affected toys should return the affected products either directly to Ravensburger by completing the returns form on the Ravensburger website or to the original store they bought them in with proof of purchase.
