As if Liverpool’s season was not already tumultuous enough, Mohamed Salah’s comments after last night’s draw with Leeds United have plunged the club even further into crisis mode.

The Egyptian star has been dropped for each of Liverpool’s last three fixtures, failing to feature at all in two of them. That continued last night as Arne Slot left the 33-year old on the bench for the entirety of the 3-3 draw at Elland Road.

While it was expected that Salah would be frustrated with the situation, few would have predicted just how far he would go with his public comments.

The player would make some bombshell revelations in a rare chat with journalists after the game, suggesting that his relationship with Slot had completely broken down and that there was a concerted effort within the club to blame him for the team’s struggles this season.

Further comments have now emerged, giving an even deeper glimpse into the current mindset of Mohamed Salah.

Mohamed Salah Takes Aim At Carragher As Further Quotes Emerge

Jamie Carragher is someone who has been critical of Mohamed Salah at times, most recently suggesting that the player should speak more in public in response to Liverpool’s recent struggles.

Now that the forward has spoken out, he made sure to address the Sky Sports pundit with his remarks.

On the back of the clip doing the rounds on social media last night, further Salah quotes have now emerged that have seen the player took a swipe at Carragher and others over the way he has been discussed in recent times.

After what I have done for the club it really hurts. You can imagine, really. After going from home to the club and you don’t know if you are starting. I know the club too well, I have been here many years.

Tomorrow [Jamie] Carragher is going to go for me again and again and that’s fine.

I have been at this club, scoring more than anyone in this generation since I came to the Premier League, I don’t think anyone has scored more goals and made more assists than me. In the whole Premier League.

If I am somewhere else, everybody would go to the media and defend the players. I am the only one in this situation.

It remains to be seen how this situation plays out over the coming weeks, but it seems highly likely right now that either Mohamed Salah or Arne Slot will need to leave Liverpool in the near future if the issue is to be resolved.

In a season that was supposed to promise so much for Liverpool, things now seem to be descending into farce at an alarming rate.
