Along with impressively high marks from critics and audiences, the Damon and Bale high-octane drama earned both “certified fresh” and “verified hot” labels. After landing on a few other streaming services, Ford v Ferrari is officially set to make its Netflix debut.

While Netflix remains in the recent news largely thanks to its staggering $82.7 billion deal to buy Warner Bros., there are plenty of other additions coming throughout December. 2025 and into January 2026, including Ford v Ferrari.
The true story of the team that set out to build a revolutionary race car for Ford to challenge Ferrari at the 1966 Le Mans will officially be released on Netflix on January 1, as What’s on Netflix first reported. This gives viewers who missed Ford v Ferrari the chance to kick off the New Year by seeing one of Rotten Tomatoes’ big winners among critics and audiences.
The 2019 film features Damon as Carroll Shelby, a former race car driver and automotive designer, teaming up with Bale, who plays Ken Miles, an English race car driver. Adding to the impressive cast is Jon Bernthal, who plays the role of Lee Iacocca, the vice president of Ford.
