On Sunday, Joe Jonas lived out everyone’s worst nightmare: Being perceived while attempting to parallel park. How do we know of his weekend struggle? Someone posted a video of him on TikTok trying to maneuver his G-Wagon into a parking space, of course. The 20-second clip was set to the Jonas Brothers’ song “Burnin’ Up” with the caption, “I love New York because I’ve been watching Joe Jonas parallel park for the last 7 minutes.” It’s unclear if Jonas was wiggling in or out of his spot, but still, it looked … painful.
The video has almost 10 million views, many of which may be from Jonas himself. He commented on the video, writing, “And I saw you watch and not help once 😞.” Jonas poked fun at himself again on Monday by posting a video pretending to be kicked out of a store and onto the sidewalk. “How the city been treating me today since the parallel parking video,” he wrote.
Apparently, today is the day I come to a Jonas Brother’s defense. Have you ever tried parallel parking in Manhattan? In broad daylight? With an audience documenting your every move? Let the man live!
