Zendaya and Robert Pattinson star as an unraveling engaged couple in the first trailer for Kristoffer Borgli‘s new A24 feature, “The Drama.”

“The Drama” is Borgli’s fourth feature and his second English-language film, following the Nicolas Cage-starring “Dream Scenario,” which A24 released in 2023. In addition to Zendaya and Pattinson, “The Drama” stars Mamoudou Athie, Alana Haim and Hailey Gates.

A24 will release “The Drama” in theaters on April 3. It is the first of three films that Zendaya and Pattinson will share the screen in next year. They will both be in Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey,” which Universal Pictures will release on July 17. Zendaya is playing Greek goddess Athena, while Pattinson plays Ithacan suitor Antinous.

At the end of 2026, the two actors will meet again in “Dune: Part Three,” the third and final installment in Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune” trilogy. Zendaya will reprise her role as heroine Chani, while Pattinson makes his franchise debut. Pattinson’s character is yet to be confirmed, but rumors suggest that he will play Scytale, an antagonist from Frank Herbert’s “Dune: Messiah,” which serves as the film’s primary source material. Warner Bros. will release “Dune: Part Three” on Dec. 18.

Pattinson most recently starred alongside Jennifer Lawrence in “Die My Love” from director Lynne Ramsay. Zendaya’s latest film was Luca Guadagnino’s “Challengers,” where she starred alongside Mike Faist and Josh O’Connor. She’ll soon be seen on the small screen in Season 3 of HBO’s drama “Euphoria,” where she reprises her two-time Emmy-winning role of Rue. She will also swing back to theaters in Disney and Marvel’s “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” on July 31.
