Tate McRae stripped down to satin lingerie for her latest photoshoot. The pop star appears on the cover of Rolling Stone this month, and the magazine spread sees her draped across a white shag carpet dressed in nothing but a pink bra and matching underwear.
McRae’s silky, lace-trimmed set from Clothing by Kier also features ruffle accents. In the same photo, her highlighted tresses are styled with ankle-length extensions, giving her hair a Rapunzel-inspired effect.
The imagery was shared on Rolling Stone’s Instagram account on Thursday, December 11 with the following caption: “In her new Rolling Stone cover story, @tatemcrae describes how feeling confident—and wearing provocative clothing that empowers her—can lead to being shamed by the media,” it began.
“People always want girls to put themselves out there. And the second they do, they get ripped apart for it,” McRae shared in the interview. “I was feeling sexual and confident for the first time in my life, and then I would release something and feel sexualized, and feel like all of my work and effort was taken away from me.”
“It’s just wild that people pay so much attention to us girls for little things that a man wouldn’t be scrutinized for,” she added.

Following the release of her bombshell breakup track “TIT FOR TAT,” McRae also finally broke her silence on her split from Kid Laroi. The duo dated for roughly a year and a half before parting ways this past July.
“It was really scary and overwhelming” to drop the new song, McRae told the magazine.
“TIT FOR TAT” didn’t come out of nowhere, of course. On the contrary, the song is a response to Laroi’s “A COLD PLAY,” which he dropped just two months after their split. “Who was I to think that I could fix you, baby?” He muses at one point in the track. “Who would I be if I didn’t miss you, baby?” In “TIT FOR TAT,” McRae claps back: “Fix your fucking self / Kiss my ass for that.”
